Over a decade of teaching,
one clear purpose

Lorraine Underwood founded Ember with a simple belief: that movement should be accessible, enjoyable, and genuinely transformative. With over a decade of experience teaching Pilates, Yoga, and body conditioning, she has built a studio where precision meets warmth, and where every single person feels cared for.

Based in Saltash, Cornwall, Ember offers hot, warm, and unheated classes — each designed to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you are looking for a deep stretch, a challenging workout, or a moment of calm, there is a place for you here.

Common Questions

Do I need experience to start?

Not at all. All our classes welcome beginners and offer modifications throughout. Browse the timetable, pick a class that sounds right, and book your spot.

What should I bring?

Comfortable workout clothes, a water bottle, and a towel for heated classes. You are welcome to bring your own mat, but mats are available if you don’t have one.

Where are you located?

Motion Gym, Saltash Business Park, Forge Lane, Saltash, Cornwall PL12 6LX. Easy to find, plenty of parking, and a genuinely welcoming space to practise in.

What is your cancellation policy?

24 hours notice for cancellations please. Block booking sessions are non-refundable but can be rescheduled. We will always do our best to accommodate you.

What’s the difference between Pilates and Yoga?

Both build strength and flexibility, but Pilates focuses more on core stability and controlled movement, while Yoga emphasises breath, flow, and mindfulness. We offer both — try each and see what resonates.
